![]() "Deseret Heat" I love color & the Desert almost glows with brightness. So this was painted like I think of the Desert in the summer heat. |
| I like watercolor & other water media. I really like the bright colors that you can get with the modern day Watercolors. I like to use bright colors paint things that are fun or happy times. I would like for the viewer to feel good or relate to the good feeling I am trying to put in the painting. |
![]() "Southern Tradition" I do love magnolia blossoms. This one has already reached it's peak bloom & now is fading into softer warm colors. This was done on wet paper. Splattering & many washes helped to form the dying petals & dropping stamen. |
I keep a journal & like to take it everywhere I go. Always getting ideas or sketching something to go into my paintings. Husband Tex & I travel a lot so I am always finding new & different things or just seeing something in a different way. I use my sketch books, photos or small paintings to paint larger paintings in my studio. |
