BARBARA D. LANCASTER

HISTORY

Barbara was born in Kentucky and resided there until Feb 2000 when she relocated to the Pacific Northwest. Barbara’s love of art and her natural abilities were discovered at an early age of 10 when she began drawing. Life circumstances did not allow her to train formally, but her passion for art and determination drove her to educate herself with the aid of books, observations of working artists and trail and error. All of these things played an important role in developing her style. The results of her hard work and dedication can be seen in her many commissioned pieces. Her art is displayed in museums, corporate offices and private collections world wide. Her mastery of oils, watercolors, pastels, charcoals and inks allows her diversity to accomplish the piece. Barbara’s enthusiasm, skill and passion for her art and her ability to teach is reflected by her many students over the past 20 years. Barbara has never wavered from her love and dedication for the arts.
