Firth Gallery

Background

Derek Firth was born in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, England. He finished his education at Batley Art College and pursued a career in Graphic Art and Design which has provided his living for the past thirty years. In recent years he has concentrated on his first love of painting landscapes in his favourite medium of watercolours. Derek has lived in North Yorkshire for the past nineteen years and works from his gallery in the town centre of Pickering. He gains much of his inspiration from the beautiful countryside and coastline.
