The son of Howard VanBuren Jr, a commercial artist by trade, Howie studied watercolor painting under the direction of his father since he was 12 years old. Howie and his father continue to study watercolor painting and have sold countless of paintings to scores of satisfied customers. Howie works in a crisp watercolor technique. Howard Jr. still participates with his son as a critic and teacher. Howie has been painting for 25 years.
