Background

Ms. Porter's journey started in Chicago Illinois, where she was born. Her Mother is of Swedish descent and Father of Scottish, the whole family is artistically/musically inclined, so she comes by her love of art and music naturally. Going to D. S. Wentworth School in Chicago, Joni won a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago and that started her love affair with painting at a very young age. She has taken many art and design classes in college and attended numerous art seminars across the United States. Joni now resides in Southern California where she continues to enjoy painting the beauty of the country side and the great outdoors. One of the many seminars that she attends every year is in Yosemite, California. She started out as a Graphic Illustrator and continues a full time career now in Computer Graphics.
