![]() Karen Halpern, Workshops and The ArtistKAREN HALPERN - Getting to Know the Artist KAREN HALPERN’S 40-YEAR career as a professional artist is defined by its consistent exhibition record and history of award recognition. A prior Art Instructor at Indiana State University, where she earned her Masters Degree, Karen and is noted for her Painting Workshops over the last 15 years, which she has conducted across the United States. Currently she teaches Watercolor Painting, Oil and Acrylic Painting, and Drawing, in numerous Fine Arts Programs, including the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center in Bloomfield Hills MI. She has been a popular Guest Lecturer and Juror for art exhibitions in the East and the Midwest. Karen’s work, primarily in watercolor, oils and acrylics, is included in corporate collections, including: Easter Seals Foundation, Detroit, Grand River Printing and Imaging, Southfield, Rapiturn Machine Company, Walled Lake, and Beaumont Hospital’s Health Center, Royal Oak, all in Michigan. The Nomad Gallery, Southfield MI, Synchronicity Gallery, Glen Arbor, MI, and Orchard Lake Framing and Gallery, Orchard Lake/ Keego Harbor, MI have most recently represented her paintings. Many Awards of Recognition highlight her participation in approximately 70 Exhibitions and numerous Solo Shows.
