All about me...............

I am a 70 year old widow, and mother of 6, grandmother to 14, and I have 1 great-grandchild..(so far!) I was born and raised in New Jersey, but currently live in NE Pennsylvania. Although always interested in art since a child, the art of painting in watercolors was intoduced to me about 10 years ago while living in the mountains of western North Carolina. I was very privledged to meet two very talented people who took me under their wing when they saw "raw talent just waiting to be developed" I learned so much from them, and I bless them to this day for taking the time to teach me so much. Painting has become as much a part of my daily life as eating and sleeping, and, I still feel the excitement build from the moment I put my first stroke on the paper till the piece is signed and matted. Through painting, I have met so many wonderful, talented people, and I have learned something from each of them. Currently, I work closely with a another artist, William O Smith, and we seem to inspire each other to strive to improve our techniques. He often makes suggestions that will "save" a piece that I felt was not up to my standards. Although unknown, I have sold several pieces at craft fairs in NE PA, and was even commisioned to to a painting last year, and was recently commissioned to do a watercolor for a woman in CA. In my remaining years, I hope to bring beauty to the world through my watercolors.......and leave a small part of me, in that, when looking at my work,..... you will feel as though you are looking into my soul.
