Born in Trois-Rivières, Canada, Lorraine P. Dietrich paints with transparent watercolours since 1988 and promotes that medium's popularity through articles, and contribution to exhibitions' organization. The public appreciates the serenity of her paintings whose dynamic, yet romantic compositions are based on observational drawings and combined with glowing and permanent colours on high quality papers. Flowers are her main inspiration because of their diversity, sensuousness and symbolism often related to the blossoming of life. Her watercolour paintings have been awarded (national & international). More than 65 exhibitions (solo, group) in Canada, USA, France, Greece, Puerto-Rico. After being accepted three times at their International Juried Exhibition at Kent Gallery, New-York area, she became the first elected signature member outside USA with North East Watercolor Society. Her works are part of several private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States and other countries and are also permanently presented by art galleries in Canada, France, the USA.
