Background

Mary Rollins attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska (1970-73) as an Art Major. She attended the University of Copenhagen during the Spring of 1973 to study design. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. Degree in Fine Arts from Southern Oregon University in 1979. Her post-graduated studies included instruction from Bruce Butte,Morris Shubin, Katherine Chang-Liu, Judy Barnes, Jan Kunz and Semyon Bilmes. Two teachers that had the greatest influence upon her work were Judy Morris and Susan McKinnon, from whom she learned the impact of strong values and the changing qualities of light. Mary is a member of the Oregon Watercolor Society. She is also a published artist with her work appearing in periodicals, such as Art Trends and InfoArt.
