My Bio

I was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, but spent most of my childhood in Lubbock, Texas. I now call California my home, where I reside with my husband, children and two house cats. I earned my bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 1995. My focus in college was Visual Communications, basically graphic design. I enjoyed a variety of applied art classes which included life drawing and oil painting. I explored studio photography as well as ceramics. I had a good time in all of my classes, but none of these mediums gave me the creative outlet and satisfaction that Winsor Newton watercolors on fine Arches paper and a splash of water could provide.
