Tasia uses an uncommon overlay technique with transparent pigment to create vibrant depictions of nature. A naturalistic style renders images which engage the senses; triggering a variety of reactions. Watercolor is Tasia's primary medium; silk screen printing (serigraphy) takes a secondary position.

History of the Artist in Brief

At ten years of age Tasia enrolled in her first painting class and she has been persuing her passion for art ever since. After earning a BA degree in Art from San Jose State University, California, USA in 1973, Tasia launched her career as a freelance fine artist. In 1975 she settled in Nevada City, California (situated in the western foothills of the Sierras) where she and a partner opened a gallery to showcase her watercolors. The gallery was sold in 1977 and Tasia set up a home-based studio, where she continues to fullfill an art career.
