Paintings By Tony Conner

General Information

Tony Conner is primarily a representational landscape painter, however his work also includes florals, seascapes, as well as industrial subjects. His art education has been a combination of self-study and workshops including course study through the North Light Art School and the Montclair Art Museum. Tony has also participated in workshop study with such noted painters as Frank Webb, Tony Couch, Charles Sovek and Joan Rudman. Although, Tony has painted in various mediums throughout his adult life, he has concentrated on watercolor for the past 12 years, having been inspired by the brilliant transparency of the medium. Tony’s paintings are inspired by the interaction between elements of shape, color and texture found in nature with those created by the human hand; particularly those found in the rural landscape. Tony’s work can be seen frequently in regional exhibits and can be found in many private collections on the East Coast. Most Recently, Tony was exhibited in Pittsburgh Watercolor Society’s 1999 Aqueous Open and the North East Watercolor Society 23rd Annual Juried National Exhibition.
